My family and I ate a picnic by this lake after a day trying to navigate Gettysburg. The serenity that can only come with a lovely lake and a sunny afternoon was what i hoped to catch in this picture. Here's to summer picnics and many more days on the lake!

Currently Obsessed With: Nordstrom

Hi everyone! I've been browsing online lately finding some adorable things online. Some of the stores are only online and I don't know how it fits or it's not even a store near me, or it's not even an American store but has mad cute clothes. So, I decided to pick out some of my favorites from Nordstrom. It's such a big, wide spread store so I figured that almost everyone and anyone can get to it. Although it is my blog, i generally feel bad when i don't post or i don't get to look at the blogs i generally look at. I have been extraordinarily busy this weekend and will continue to be until the end of the summer. I spent the weekend tubing with friends and seeing my brother off to camp for the week. So far this week, i've had a girls night out, watched 2 classic movies [in addition to moonrise kingdom], and done the tourist activities available in my home town. It's been lovely, but i haven't had a second to get on the computer. I had some old posts saved up that i was able to publish from my trusty-dusty phone so you were able to see a little bit of my style life, but i really have just been non-stop since last friday. I suppose that's summer for you!

As some of you may have read in this post, i am obsessed with a certain checklist that Matchbook Magazine produced naming 50 essentials for one's closet. I made the edits i thought necessary and produced a new list. After doing that, i followed through by finding a perfect match for every item i thought that i still needed on that list. Given that these items are somewhat above my budget, i will have to do some re-scouting and re-grouping in order to find matches in my budget. Any suggestions on where i can find a wool blazer for a couple bucks? No? To the thrift store!

Currently Obsessed With: Checklists from Matchbook

A while back, i read this post. On it were links to checklists, and being the curious blogger/style monger i am, i clicked on all 3 of them. There was a book checklist, a movie checklist, and a style checklist. I loved all three and am really going to try to start filling them up a little more, but i felt the style list needed a little editing.

This is the original...i feel that it's fairly complete, but i needed to make a couple edits

I got rid of some of the items that i found ridiculous. I don't even know what lace underpinnings are! And when have i ever wanted to wear striped pajama pants outside of the house? Don't answer that...

Next came adding in a few pieces i though should have been on here but were somehow excluded. [Side Note: When i mean Jacks, I am referring to Jack Rogers]

Lastly, i Circled the items i have yet to buy and i have to say, most of these will probably come along with the whole "back to school" shopping or birthday shopping gimmick. Until then, i make lists like these and i try to find where i can get them so i can figure out the best way to gather all of these basics in a tight-ish budget limit. So you could say i'm obsessed...

I am also aware that this event doesn't happen very often, but you can apply this to most picnics or casual outdoor events...it's fairly versatile.

Just Keep Swimming

It's finally summer....I hope everyone is having a great vacation/ summer in general. Happy belated 4th of July! Yayayayay America, home of the free. Well, I have been, and still am, out of the country for my vacation and its hard to get Internet. But I managed:) Here's a picture of a section of my view. It's so beautiful!!

I swim every day here and I absolutely love the water:) It's cool, refreshing, soothing, and it's a great getaway. In celebration of the ocean I have selected a few bathing suits to show you guys so that wherever you swim, anywhere in the world, you look fabulous as always. I've always had an obsession with bathing suits because there are so many to choose from! Is this just me?!? Yes. Ok. But anyways, I can't stop looking at swimwear although I have 4 already.
