Math

Blazer: Lucky Brand, Tee: Eddie Bauer, Skirt: Target, Tights: Loft, Shoes: Sperrys, Scarf: Gifted (similar here)
I tried this outfit out amongst my family down in rehobeth on the windiest day i have ever experienced which made it even colder. Thankfully, the precipitation had ended and the sky was crystal blue, but wind+flouncy skirts=not good (look at me doing math!). I solved the problem but putting on a pair of burgundy tights which i figured went since the colors in the rest of the outfit are similar enough. It was still not ideal so i thought i would try it again on a school day which i figured would be more mild. See that? Sitting through math pays off!

Favorites: Kate Spade New York Cases

Kate Spade Cases

Favorite things case / Lenticular Case / Live Colorfully Case / Newsprint Dot Case / Pop! Case

A few years ago, my friend sarah introduced me to her favorite designer who happened to be kate spade. I instantly fell in love and was pretty obsessed with that for quite some time. I almost forgot about it for a while, seeing their designer clothes had some pricetag, but seeing that she has a new line called "saturday" coming out that embodies the "i live for my weekends" idea and the casual vibe of it, i decided to look around her site some more. I have always known that her iphone cases are cute, one of a kind, and make having an iphone exciting. Although i don't have one, i'm crossing my fingers to get one this summer for my birthday, i never seem to be able to keep one of these off my wishlist. This isn't all there is, but these are certainly my favorites. Enjoy!!

Before Spring has Sprung n0.1

Spring is a fabulous season for me. It gets warmer, you can wear pastels and florals and sometimes just brighter colors. It has an overall carefree feeling that comes with the warmth and continues into summer. But unlike the relaxing attitude of summer, spring has a bit of innocence to it. Baby animals begin to be born, birdsong can be heard again and nature bursts with color and blooms. Just like the weather, the fashion world rotates to a more light and carefree state as well. Fabrics and prints become lighter and this year, i am especially excited to be sporting florals and lace. The bring out the sweetness and innocence of the world being reborn to me. So here is the first of my findings for spring:

More of these to come

In my last post, i mentioned that i was in rehobeth beach for shopping and relaxation purposes as the sales on president's day weekend. I admit that the weather was definitely not great for walking on the beach (or anywhere for that matter) which made it easier to want to shop. But other than the blizzarding conditions and freezing temperatures, it was quite lovely. The boardwalk area has some awesome restaurants and interesting boutiques and stores and has the "sleepy beach town" vibe which i cannot get enough of. I also ended up watching back to the future for the first time which was awesome (80's movies always are, no?) an led us into watching the entire trilogy. So overall, it was an awesome mid-february vacation resulting in me getting some fabulous and much needed clothing.

However, all i have planned this weekend is homework and possible watching safe haven, which is a nice change as this is the first "do-nothing" weekend since before Christmas. What are you doing this weekend?
Whatever it is, have a good one!

Forgetful

I do believe that president's day might possibly be the most easily forgotten holiday of the year.
Preceded by Valentine's Day, this holiday is full of blowout sales
And that, my dearest readers, is why i am currently sitting in a cozy house in rehobeth beach, surrounded by various shopping bags, in a snuggie, typing this to you.
Many people that fashion blog, are posting as a job. Others find it easy to post because they shop so often, it is easy for them to make outfits and never repeat them.
Not me!
I rarely ever go shopping (have i ever mentioned that?) and even if i go to the mall for a small trip, i almost never get anything as i am always watching the money aspect (i am a teenager and pay for my own clothing...i have no incoming money so i rely on my savings and gifts) or never find anything i'm dying to get. Recently, i have grown about 7 inches which leaves me with skirts that look way too short and strange fitting pants and shirts. O darn.
So this outlet blowout sale shopping spree came just in time!
more rehobeth pictures and my travel outfits soon to come. Oh! you wanna see what i got? Well...you're just going to have to wait and see everything via outfits. *smiles devilishly*

so in honor of the beach (despite the fact that it's super cold, rainy, windy, and snowy and i wish it was warmer...), i gathered up my favorite recent beach pins:

As well as my favorite Valentine's Day pins:

So there you have it. I hope to be posting again soon, and to see more of my pins and check out my "love is in the air" board specifically for valentine's day, follow me on pinterest.

What to Wear n0.4: Valentine's Day Wishes

So because valentine's day consists of a marching band event in the morning and then coming home to pack up for my weekend vacation to rehobeth beach, you could say my day is pretty eventful, and it just proves that i will spend valentine's day with my friends and family...not with a special someone...i don't have one of those...
Anywho, because that special day is so busy, i thought that i would take some time to put together a little valentine's day "what to wear n0.4" and a special valentine's day wish to anyone reading from all of us at twirl. Love you guys!!
So for this what to wear, i wanted to use the romanticism and feminine quality of the day to my advantage. A lacy dress that has a flowy skirt and is tied off at the waist by a bow (belt). I incorporated the color and bows into the Tory Burch flats and added some baubley necklaces from baublebar (which i tried layering). Then a statement hairpiece and a cute clutch from ban.do and you are looking cute! Enjoy and Happy Valentine's Day!!!

Speaking of love...
THE RAVENS WON THE SUPERBOWL!!!
The last time they won was 12 years ago and i was young enough that i don't even remember...
It honestly hasn't sunk in yet...I even dyes the ends of my hair purple and it hasn't sunk in yet...
it took a while, but we got there :) And yes, that IS a summer reading tee shirt you see!!
And i even went to the parade/open stadium event that took place today (i skipped school)
And THAT was a beautiful sight. The city of baltimore came together and celebrated for an afternoon. We didn't go to the parade, we went straight to the stadium and even so, we had to sit in the upper deck, but no one was pushing or shoving, everyone was polite and in a good mood. Plus Ray Lewis did the REAL last dance right before our eyes, lombardi trophy in hand. It was magical. Congrats to the ravens and thank you RAY LEWIS!!

And one last love it goes out to you guys that come back and read my posts every day or even occasionally, despite the sparatic quality of it. I love you guys and seeing those happy comments makes me smile. Thanks for getting us all the way to 3000 views. I know we're a newer blog and we have not a ton of readers or followers, but we thank you anyways, and if you have any advice, ideas for new posts, or even constructive critism, we'd be happy to hear it along with the happiness in the form of comments.

So my posting is most likely going to become a little less frequent, but i will try to post when i can, just a head's up.

Thanks again to everyone and happy valentine's day!!
xoxo
