Shopping = Good

Remember how i always complain about how i never shop? I'm beginning to wonder how much of a lie that is because i went shopping...again...and got these pants for no more than $10! Despite my fabulous finds, i wonder how much i actually do shop because it seems that as soon as i wear everything out in my opinion, i get something new to shuffle things up. I even wore these shoes which haven't been worn since...this post. (outfit is at the very bottom!)
See? Shopping IS good!

Must-Post

Top: Eddie Bauer, Jeans: Seven, Shoes: American Eagle, Necklace: American Eagle

A girl at school today came up to me and said "Oh My Gosh you look awesome! You HAVE to post this on my blog!"
I didn't know my schoolmates read my blog but hello out there to any of my schoolmates reading!!

Anyways, i had a fun activity today and we all know that the more fun the occasion, the harder we think about the outfit we're going to wear...so this one took not TOO long, but did take some thought.
My necklace was from the shopping trip i mentioned in one of my past posts and i just figured i would pair it with some cool neutrals and have a very american-eagle esque look. But considering 50% of this outfit is from american eagle, i guess that isn't too hard to do...
Happy spring break!!

Lazy Days

Jacket: Eddie Bauer, Shirt: Ralph Lauren, Scarf: Target, Pants: Hollister, Sneakers: Vans
Do you ever have lazy days where you say to yourself "I want to wear yoga pants, but i know i shouldn't"
that was me today
So i compromised with a super soft tee and sneakers. The never before worn scarf was soft as well and then the jacket andf cargos were no brainers because they are comfy but add some detail...definitely more than yoga pants

Balancing Act

Cardigan: Old Navy, Camisole: Target, Khakis: Target, Flats: American Eagle, Jewels: American eagle

I went to the mall the other day with my friend after going to the zoo. There was supposedly a new species to the zoo being announced...it was just a mini cooper painted like a zebra so we looked at the other animals and went to the mall.  I went into Lily Pulitzer for the first time and loved it, as well as Michael Kors which was cool but the store where i actually bought something was american eagle. I got pearl earrings (my other ones have gone missing), crystal earrings, the necklace in this outfit, and a more colorful necklace. Despite the fact that the zoo scammed us with a car, i got jewelry so i guess you could say things balanced out.

The Joys of Winter

It feels like it has been a while since i posted a real outfit but it really hasn't. Then again i can't remember what i had for breakfast this morning...

Sweater: Old Navy, Skirt: The North Face, Belt: l.l.bean, Necklace: Homemade, Boots: Vintage, Tights: old, Earrings: American Eagle, Bracelet: from Florida

This sweater was actually given to me by my very own brother for christmas and he knew i wanted it because i had a mini heart attack and screamed when i saw it on the clearance rack at old navy, much to the dismay of the other shoppers. And although it was fairly warm today, i threw on some sheerish white tights and all day people asked me if my legs were really that pale...oh the joys of winter.

A year or so ago, a friend of mine introduced me to a website for vintage clothes called ruche. I especially loved the numerous lookbooks they have...the pictures and outfit are pure inspiration! Their newer pieces for spring embody what spring should be: whimsical, light, bright, and pretty. These are a few of my favorites from the site that are clothes but they also have a line for the home!!!

They also offer bridal, kids, pets, and like i said, many fabulous lookbooks. Check it out and tell me what your favorites are in the comments!

Spring in my Step

Spring in my Step

      1 / 2 / 34 / 5 / 6 / 7 / 8 / 9 / 10 / 11

As i have been saying for quite a while, i am anxious to have the weather warm up and break out a new pair of strappy sandals! Rather than last year which harbored a very grecian style that was a flip flop of sorts, this year, a new preppy style that has no uncomfortable thong, but criss-crossed straps and an ankle buckle has made its way to the spotlight. I really am loving the difference as this is more my style and cannot wait to wear a pair of these with chino shorts and a button down or a super cute sundress.

What to Wear n0.5

Top: Forever 21, Scarf: Banana Republic, Jeans: Aeropostale, Shoes: Sperry Topsider

This may not look it, but this outfit is fabulous for shopping. Easy to change in and out of and it's comfy and warm as a bonus. Plus, it looks stylish, while being comfortable. Did i mention that this outfit is super comfortable?
Just kidding, but i also wore a bracelet with this outfit that is black, chunky, and octagonal which happened to be not the greatest choice for trying things on. In the dressing rooms of old navy, while i tried on a baseball tee and a pair of rust-colored jeans, i had to take off said bangle because the sleeve of my coat wouldn't come off of my arm otherwise. After i finished trying things on, i forgot the bracelet completely and left. I didn't particularly miss it, but i admit i would be a bit upset if i had lost it. Thankfully it was kept safe by the workers and i got it back, but let this be a warning to you: never wear a black, chunky, octagonal bracelet when you try clothing on.

Favorites: Old Navy Graphic Tees

old navy tees

Mickey Mouse Club Tee / Wonder Woman Tee / Campbell's Soup Tee / Beatles Tee

Another Line of Faves!!!
Old navy was more of a recent discovery for me as well. As a preteen, i was smitten with brands like hollister, abercrombie & fitch, aeropostale, and a little bit of American eagle. Those were the days of middle school where every girl and boy wore those brands and if you didn't, you were considered out of style. Old navy was not a store one wanted to shop at. However as my style began to develop, i walked in with my mom one day and my eyes were opened. I still never thought they would have interesting vintage-y graphic tees like these. Tees aren't usually my thing...too casual! But i have always had a soft spot for unique graphic shirts. Hence my love for these 4. My 2 favorites apart from the rest are the Campbell's soup tee and the Beatles's tee. I put 98 Beatles songs on my ipod yesterday and have had their music on all day...i can't seem to get enough of it all of a sudden! Not to mention the fabulous work of art of a Campbell's soup can by Andy Warhol...for some reason his art sticks out in my mind which is why I'm very excited about this tee. Enjoy!
