Total Prep-- Sweater and Khakis

Heyy guys!!!!

I don't go to a private school where you have to wear blue and beige but for fun I put together an outfit. Preppy clothing isn't my style at all so I took the sweater and khaki outfit and twisted it into a chic outfit with a sprinkle of private school prep. :)

Animal Boatneck Sweater - Garage

This adorable sweater has little animals on it so it has a interesting design. I loved this sweater and I almost bought it in the store but of course they didn't have my size.... :(
Any way..... It's from Garage and its $34.90

Women's The Sweetheart Perfect Khakis

These khakis are from Old Navy!!!!
Old Navy has really cute things for such reasonable prices..... these amazing pants are only $28 and going on sale!!!!
Womens Mossimo Supply Co. Odell Ballet Flats - Black

A simple shoe from Target!!!! for only $14.99!!!!!!

This whole outfit could be dressed up with little wedges and gold bracelets or dressed down with just a pair if jeans and a simple gold head band! Also, these separates can go with so much that you can get a lot for your money.

Even though my style is NOT preppy, I adore this outfit and would totally wear it!!!! And if you are preppy-- I hope you like this too!!!!

Tell me what you think in the comments!!!

Limited addition!

Happy monday everyone! Hope your weekend was absolutely wonderful!! I'm actually still enjoying mine and will be until wednesday morning when i have to go back...

So this picture was taken in the forest behind my home. We've (We being my brother and i) been taking walks with our dogs (they explore OFF LEASH) and they love it, it's good for us, and it's fun just to explore and see how pretty it is. We went yesterday, (buster couldn't go because he had just gotten his cast off but bear went) and it was kind of overcast, but i saw the interesting lighting as a good source for pictures so i took the camera and ended up with this one.
I took a bunch more  but i'm saving those up :)

So you must be wondering 'what does this pot's title even mean anyways?'
well! thanks for asking!

Vans Shoes, Shirts, and Dresses, Oh my!!

So I'm a HUGE Vans fan..... I own 4 pairs and i love them all..... I'll show you three of the four I have so I hope you enjoy :) YAY VANS!!!!

All are from the Vans store (From the top)
       - Guate Stripe Slip- on Lo Pro
       - Vans Era Blue/ Black
       - Guate Stripe Authentic
I highly recommend these awesome shoes!

Here are a dew outfits inspired by vans--

I am a casual dresser so this I more of what I would wear to school or something...... But if you want to get dresses up......

For School or casual event

The shoes have a little shine to them so it adds some sparkle. You  could also have colorful shoes, if you want and a leather jacket if it's a little chilly.

For going out or Formal event

The necklace is from Vans too but I couldn't find a close up, sorry. Simply jewelry can compliment the outfit but too much will take way from its beauty.

I hope you enjoyed looking at things from Vans!!!! Tell me what you think:)\

2 in 1!!

I am really in love with this book, but the last time i tried to explain it, people got confused and thought it was some weird book
so i am going to give you the synopsis from Amazon:

There is nothing lonelier than a cat who has been loved, at least for a while, and then abandoned on the side of the road.

A calico cat, about to have kittens, hears the lonely howl of a chained-up hound deep in the backwaters of the bayou. She dares to find him in the forest, and the hound dares to befriend this cat, this feline, this creature he is supposed to hate. They are an unlikely pair, about to become an unlikely family. Ranger urges the cat to hide underneath the porch, to raise her kittens there because Gar-Face, the man living inside the house, will surely use them as alligator bait should he find them. But they are safe in the Underneath...as long as they stay in the Underneath.

Kittens, however, are notoriously curious creatures. And one kitten's one moment of curiosity sets off a chain of events that is astonishing, remarkable, and enormous in its meaning.
Kathi Appelt spins a harrowing yet keenly sweet tale about the power of love -- and its opposite, hate -- the fragility of happiness and the importance of making good on your promises.

This book is very emotional. there are multiple stories that come together in the end and i tried reading it 2 other times, but i never understood it. This last time when i read it, i was mature enough to get the themes in it and it is the first book to ever make me cry...no joke. I highly suggest this book. It isn't very popular like the hunger games or something like that, but i truly suggest it. Very deep.

ALSO
with the whole reviewing thing on my mind, i saw the avengers last night, which i had been preparing for by watching every one of the superhero's movies (iron man, iron man 2, captain america, hulk, thor) and ill review them shortly:

Iron man/Iron man 2: I loved these!! The beginning is the kind of thing where you have to have a strong stomach for the cruelty and truth that it reveals, but more than anything, these are funny. When expecting this man to be a hero, you would expect a selfless guy, but really, you get a bit of a jerk...either way, the humor makes it.

Captain America: He's got heart, but his "powers" came from a science experiment. He got lucky and ended up saving his country, and his world. The end is heartbreaking, and somewhat confusing, but this was the first superhero movie, and i loved it.

Hulk: Really cool. The CGI is awesome and i really felt bad for this guy...different actor than the avengers which kind of stinks though...

Thor: Although you need to see this before watching the avengers, i hated it so much. its plot was messy and bored me...the whole thing was weird, but necessary.

THE AVENGERS: i really enjoyed it. They all come together and fight more with each other at first, but they soon begin to work together and this tactic makes them 10x more powerful. It has great CGI again and the plot is awesome. If you're looking for humor, Iron man delivers again, but the hulk is also has his moments too. Very cool...I know im supposed to be a girly girl, but i have a lot of boys in my family so i end up watching these movies and loving them!

Happy reading and watching!

Writing Chic

Well today is November 1...and not only is it the day after Halloween but is also Nanowrimo!
Nanowrimo stands for National November Writing Month, you can check out their website at http://nanowrimo.org/ and sign up (I reccomend the kid/teen version because you can choose your word count.) You basically try to write a novel in all of November, and they have fabulous story starters, and even work books that can help with English.

So where would we be without a chic writers outfit to kick off nanowrimo!
